Here's some further observations for the next reader: If you need screwdrivers: I used Phillips #0 for the outer case screws, and Phillips #00 for the inside screws. Both available at your local Sears. If the scroll wheel motion is a little stiff after reassembly, you may want to loosen the inner screws very slightly. Don't crank em down! Go for it! AG Ditto. Here’s some further observations for the next reader:
If you need screwdrivers:

The wheel on my e280 was playing up and even though I had an extended warranty, I was worried they'd just replace it with a v2 model that wouldn't run Rockbox.
